THE BEST FEST IS HELD IN MARCH AND HOSTS LIVE MUSIC EVENTS AS WELL AS LOCAL BUSINESSES AND VENDORS. THE RUSKIN SEAFOOD FESTIVAL IS HELD IN NOVEMBER AND ATTRACTS MANY SEAFOOD LOVERS AS WELL AS VENDORS AND LOCAL FISHER BUSINESSES. TOTAL OF ALL EVENTS MENTIONED IN PROGRAM SERVICE ACHIEVEMENTS AND REVENUE. THE SEAFOOD FESTIVAL IS A SHOWCASE OF LOCAL FAN FAVORITE FOODS AND VENDORS. THIS YEAR THERE WAS A CAR SHOW ON BOTH DAYS THAT ALLOWED LOCAL CAR VENDORS AND ENTHUSIASTS A CHANCE TO GET SOME GOOD FOOD, HEAR GOOD MUSIC AND SEE SOME PRETTY COOL CARS. THERE IS ALSO A KIDS AREA, ARTS AND CRAFTS AND OTHER INTERACTIVE FESTIVITIES. THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE HOSTS A MONTHLY LUNCHEON THAT HIGHLIGHTS DIFFERENT EVENTS AND CATEGORIES. FOR EXAMPLE ONE LUNCHEON HIGHLIGHT MILITARY MEMBERS AND ANOTHER HIGHLIGHTS A LOCAL COFFEE BREWING COMPANY. GREATER RUSKIN CHAMBER HOSTS A PIGS IN THE PARKING LOT EVENT WHICH IS BASICALLY, A BLOCK PARTY FOR THE SOUTH COUNTY RESIDENTS. THERE ARE FOOD VENDORS, LIVE MUSIC EVENTS, KIDS ACTIVITIES AND OTHER LOCAL BUSINESS VENDORS. THE HIGHLIGHT OF THIS EVENT IS THE BARBECUE OTHER EVENTS SUCH AS A SHOWCASE EXPO IN BOTH THE FALL AND SPRING SEASONS BRING ABOUT LOCAL COMMUNITY EVENTS AS WELL AS OTHER MEETINGS, SEMINARS AND WORKSHOPS.
