Programs described in its return (2)
  1. $354,821 spent. THE ASHE COUNTY ARTS COUNCIL, SPONSORS COMMUNITY CONCERTS AND PROGRAMS, SCHOOL ARTS ASSEMBLY PROGRAMS, AND THE JUNIOR APPALACHIAN MUSICIANS PROGRAM IN ALL 3 ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS AS WELL AS MANY OTHER EVENTS. THE GALLERY AND GALLERY SHOP FEATURED WORK OF MANY LOCAL AND REGIONAL ARTISTS AND CRAFTS PEOPLE.
  2. $90,836 spent. Throughout the 2024-2025 Fiscal Year, we continued to promote arts programs for community members of all ages. Many of these programs took place at our Civic Center location. We successfully completed our annual Missoula Childrens Theatre Residency. Additionally, we continued our Junior Appalachian Musician classes and expanded our Appalachian Tunes music lessons for adult learners. We sought to make concerts more accessible to members of the public who were financially impacted by the hurricane by offering a series of Live Radio concerts in partnership with our local WKSK The Farm radio station. These Live Radio shows were free to attend in-person at the Civic Center. We hosted additional concerts from musicians including but not limited to Buffalo Nichols, Take3, and Martha Spencer. An educational workshop with Soul Street Dance taught students about rhythm and percussion.
