Notable achievements of UCF athletic teams for the year include the women's tennis team, who made history by capturing the school's first-ever Big 12 championship. Men's tennis excelled as well, securing its first NCAA Sweet 16 appearance in program history. Rowing achieved unprecedented success with its first Big 12 championship following a clean sweep in all races, with a rower and a coach earning the titles of Big 12 Rower and Coach of the year, respectively. UCF softball also celebrated both team and player victories, with the team advancing to the finals of the NCAA tournament and its conference-leading pitcher being named First Team All-Big 12. Academic excellence remains a point of pride as student-athletes set a new departmental record with an average 3.47 GPA, marking 35 consecutive semesters above a 3.0 GPA and 12 straight semesters above a 3.3 GPA.
