Financial health
We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Governance
This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence
Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.
Programs described in its return (3)
- $10,710 spent. Celebrated our 25th anniversary in Atlanta, GA, with public events at Morris Brown College, where NAAHBCU was founded, and at Hammonds House Museum. The anniversary exhibit at Chastain Arts Center Gallery ran for 2 weeks, featured the work of 20 artists, and was attended by locals as well as out-of-town visitors.
- $3,800 spent. Mounted exhibits at Bowie State University in Bowie, MD, and at North Carolina A&T University in Greensboro. These exhibits not only bring greater exposure to our member artists but also promote the importance and vitality of art programs at HBCUs.
- $20,023 spent. Arranged for and managed the return of artwork to the NAAHBCU artists who participated in the NAAHBCU exhibit in China in 2023.
