FOR MORE THAN 40 YEARS, THIS IS HOW WE'VE HELPED NOURISH THOUSANDS OF OUR NEIGHBORS INCLUDING INDIVIDUALS, FAMILIES, CHILDREN, AND SENIORS.

THE FOOD BANK OF CENTRAL & EASTERN NORTH CAROLINA'S RETAIL DONATION PROGRAM RESCUED AND DISTRIBUTED MORE FOOD THAN EVER BEFORE, ENSURING LESS FOOD IN OUR LANDFILLS AND MORE MEALS FOR FAMILIES IN NEED. THROUGH THIS PROGRAM, OUR PARTNER AGENCIES PICKED UP APPROXIMATELY 24 MILLION POUNDS OF FOOD FROM LOCAL RETAIL STORES, A RECORD FOR THE ORGANIZATION.
  3. $7.7 million spent. THROUGH OUR YEAR-ROUND OPERATION OF THE FEDERAL NUTRITION PROGRAM FOR SENIORS, THE COMMODITIES SUPPLEMENTAL FOOD PROGRAM, WE PROVIDED OVER 8,750 BOXES OF FOOD A MONTH IN ALL OF OUR 34 COUNTIES.
  4. THE FOOD BANK NOT ONLY FEEDS THOSE WHO ARE HUNGRY; WE ALSO WORK TO BENEFIT COMMUNITY HEALTH BY WORKING TO ADDRESS HUNGER AT ITS ROOT CAUSES THRU A FOCUS ON NUTRITION, EDUCATION, AND OUTREACH. OUR WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM PROVIDES EDUCATION AND EMPLOYMENT SPONSORSHIP FOR INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE UNEMPLOYED, UNDEREMPLOYED, OR JUSTICE INVOLVED.
