OUR CLUB PROVIDES (3) SCHOLARSHIPS TO THE NC COLLEGE OF VETERINARY MEDICINE TO STUDENTS WHO PLAN TO HAVE A SMALL ANIMAL PRACTICE.2.) OUR CLUB DONATES TO RESEARCH PROJECTS THROUGH NCCVM AS WELL AS CANINE HEALTH FOUNDATION. THESE PROJECTS STUDY HEALTH RELATED RESEARCH TO IMPROVE VETERINARY MEDICINE.3.) RALEIGH KENNEL CLUB HAS PROVIDED SEARCH AND RESCUE DOGS, BOMB SNIFFING DOGS, AND DRUG DOGS TO WAKE COUNTY, NC AND TO THE CITY OF RALEIGH POLICE DEPARTMENT. MOST RECENTLY WE HAVE DONATED A BOMB SNIFFING DOG TO NC STATE UNIVERSITY IN RALEIGH, NC TO BE USED AT THE ARENA AND OTHER AREAS WHERE A SCENT DOG IS BENEFICIAL.4.) RKC PROVIDES ASSISTANCE TO TAKE THE LEAD, AN ORGANIZATION DEDICATED TO HELPING PEOPLE IN OUR SPORT WHO ARE FACING LIFE ALTERING SITUATIONS SUCH AS CATASTROPHIC HEALTH ISSUES OR LOSING THEIR HOMES TO FIRE, ETC.5.) RALEIGH KENNEL CLUB ENCOURAGES JUNIOR HANDLERS IN OUR SPORT TO FURTHER THEIR EDUCATION BY DONATING A SCHOLARSHIP AT EACH OF OUR SHOW TO THE TOP JUNIOR HANDLER.6.) WE REVIEW ANY REQUESTS FROM LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS AND SHELTERS AND THE BOARD MAY APPROVE EXPENDITURES BASED ON NEED.
