Financial health

We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Programs described in its return (4)
  1. $18,420 spent. To fulfill campus ""Wish List"" items, which are pre-approved by the principal. These items include grade level field trips, classroom supplies and curriculum enhancements that are not provided by the district (ie: periodicals, math manipulatives, educational games). These items are used in the following areas: grade level classrooms, fitness, art, music, library, ESL, counseling, special education and gifted education classrooms.
  2. $10,352 spent. To provide student programs for the approximately 550 students on campus (grades K through 5th). These programs include: Arts in Education, Back to School Picnic, After School Enrichment Programs, Summer Reading Program, Red Ribbon Week Program, Classroom Parties, Field Day and Senior Reunion.
  3. $1,470 spent. To provide scholarships and donations. This includes the Barbara Salamone Scholarships for outstanding high school seniors that attended Stinson Elementary. This also includes donations to the Plano ISD Education Foundation and Plano Council of PTA's holiday luncheon. This also includes a donation of book fair vouchers, so all students may buy a book at the fall book fair.
  4. $5,718 spent. To provide leadership training and recognition of members to Stinson Elementary PTA. This includes Leader Orientation Training from Texas PTA and attendance at the Texas PTA Leadership Conference. It also includes providing honorary lifetime memberships, extended service awards and volunteer recognition based on a review committee and selection criteria.
