What it says it does

The Catonsville Kennel Club is an American Kennel Club (AKC) member club that furthers the advancement of all breeds of pure-bred dogs, protects and advances the interests of all breeds of pure-bred dogs and encourages sportsman like competition at all AKC sanctioned events. To that end, the Club conducts sanctioned matches, dogs shows and obedience trials and any other events under the Rules and Regulations of the American Kennel Club. The profit from such events are used to support canine and community causes including purchasing K-9 Officers to the Maryland State Police, contributing to disaster relief for pets, donating to organizations that provide service dogs to veterans, and donating to organizations that provide pet-friendly battered-women shelters.

Financial health

We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.
