Financial health
We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Governance
This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Programs described in its return (1)
- The Douglas Whitlock Memorial Trust (trust) exclusively supports the Brick Industry Association by helping it safeguard the clay brick industry through the promotion of educational fields of study advantageous to its members. Scholarships are granted to worthy individuals enrolled or planning to enroll in a full-time course of study at an accredited college or university leading up to an associates' degree or higher. Scholarship grants are made according to a selection process based on an applicant's prior academic achievement, performance on certain tests designed to measure ability and aptitude for college work, financial need, leadership and participation in school and community activities, honors, work experience, and statement of educational and career goals. Grants are made on an objective and nondiscriminatory basis consistent with the fund's exempt purposes. Preference is given to those applicants who express an interest in the brick industry or an affiliated industry (although any grant awarded will not be conditioned on the recipient choosing a particular profession or seeking or accepting employment with any member of the brick industry association).
