REPORTS ARE PRESENTED BY AREA OFFICERS AND COMMITTEE CHAIRS. TRAINING WORKSHOPS ARE CONDUCTED IN OPERATING AND PROGRAMMING TOPICS AND AWARDS ARE PRESENTED TO CHAPTERS FOR OUTSTANDING PROGRAMS. CURRENTLY THERE ARE 82 CHAPTERS IN THE EASTERN AREA.THE ORGANIZATION ALSO HOSTS A ONE DAY LEADERSHIP SUMMIT FOR CHAPTER OFFICERS. ATTENDANCE IS VOLUNTARY. THE FOCUS IS ON LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT/TRAINING WITH AN EMPHASIS ON SOFT SKILLS INSTEAD OF PROGRAMMING AND OPERATIONS.
