Financial health

We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (1)
  1. $60,520 spent. We have regular monthly member meetings every month, typically featuring a speaker presenting her techniques including samples of her quilting which we can physically see and handle. In 2025: 1. We had 7 outside presenters come to present at our general member meeting, and the following day to teach a 1-day workshop to approximately 20 members.2. Our "Cuddle" volunteers made sewed items for donation to local charities. A total of approximately 1,800 items were donated, including NICU blankets, quilts, placemats, pillowcases, table runners, napkins, and burp cloths.3. We had three work sessions monthly to work on Cuddle charity work: 1st Thursdays at Quilt in a Day (San Marcos), 3rd Thursdays at El Corazon Senior Center (Oceanside), and 4th Mondays at San Marcos Senior Center (San Marcos). 4. We had "Friendship groups" that meet 1-2 times monthly and these smaller meetings help members share knowledge and skills and to work together on Cuddle donation work. 5. We organized 2 educational bus trips: one to Road to California 2025, and one to Hoffman Fabrics in LA to learn about the art and craft of fabric design and construction as well as quilting. 6.We coordinated 2 quilting retreats.
