The Lexington Ballet Company has a year-round arts education program which includes but is not limited to ballet instruction in the following: classical ballet, creative movement, pre-ballet, jazz, modern, and adult ballet. Training for all ages and skill levels are available at LBC which really helps the organization reach a broad audience. During the summer months, LBC offers summer intensive ballet programs as an Adult Intensive Program that allows for working adults to enjoy a week of intensive dance discovery in the evening hours. We launched Ann app for the school and parents.
- $31,082 spent. Cultural Enrichment - Lex Ballet dancers and staff traveled to Lexington's sister city Deauville, France, to meet, to study with, to view performances with the French Ballet company, and to exchange cultural knowledge. Partnerships & collaborations in France resulted in positive media coverage and press, and highly favorable community feedback. Programs often extend beyond diplomacy or business ties to include cultural diplomacy using art, media, performance, and education to connect communities on a human level. Arts and culture serve as tools for mutual understanding and creative exchange, with dance acting as a universal language.
