  1. $1.2 million spent. In 2025, the LGBT Asylum Project: Served 833 LGBTQ+ immigrants. This number includes intakes, consultations, and full-scope cases. Secured 11 approvals, bringing our total to 138 since inception. Took on 39 asylum cases (22 affirmative and 17 defensive). o Affirmative asylum cases are for LGBTQ+ immigrants who entered the country on a valid visa and whose cases are handled at the Asylum Office. o Defensive cases are for LGBTQ+ immigrants who entered the country through the southern border and have been placed in deportation proceedings. Their cases are handled at the Immigration Courts. Expanded our services to include full-scope representation for all LGBTQ+ defensive asylum cases (previously, we were at capacity to provide this level of representation). Continued offering 100% free legal and community services to our clients, including full-scope representation before the San Francisco Asylum Office and the San Francisco, Concord, and Sacramento Immigration Courts, covering Northern California. Maintained our 99% approval rate. Hosted four fellows through the OCEIA DreamSF program and a legal intern through Legal Services Funders Network (LSFN) Program. Hired one new staff member as Operational Manager. Co-organized key community events, including: o Transgender Day of Visibility (TDOV) o Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDOR) o SF Trans Expo and MarchAdditionally, in 2025, our Executive Director Kenan Arun was selected as a Grand Marshal for San Francisco Pride 2025 in recognition of his leadership, advocacy, and contributions to LGBTQ+ immigrant communities.In 2025, we also successfully implemented key organizational structural changes. We supported the transition of Parivar Bay Area into an independent entity, which was completed smoothly without operational disruption. In addition, our Co-Executive Directorship model transitioned successfully to a single Executive Director leadership structure. These changes strengthened organizational stability and positioned us for continued growth.
