What it says it does

The Jason Beaird Memorial Foundation (JBMF) strives to support many of the passions that Jason Beaird held near and dear to his heart. Jason passed away in March 2013 at the age of 42 from Multiple Myeloma, a cancer of blood plasma cells. JBMF keeps the spirit and memory of Jason alive through meaningful projects and activities with which he would have supported. Our scholarship program, patient caregiver support programs, and youth/collegiate sports sponsorships are projects which reflect Jason's passions.

Financial health

We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence

Programs described in its return (3)
  1. $1,627 spent. Scholarship Program $13,627 In 2025, JBMF awarded 12 at $1,000 scholarships to graduating Orange County, Florida, high school seniors who have overcome adversity. Our scholars have faced immense struggles in their lives, yet despite these challenges, plan to continue their academic journey at a Junior/Community College, Technical School or 4-year university following high school graduation. We celebrate our scholarship winners and their guests with a banquet and awards ceremony. Since 2017, we have awarded 91 scholarships for a total of $91,000.
  2. Ronald McDonald Houses $3,170 - In 2025, JBMF continued our sponsorship of the Nemours Children's Health Hospitality Cart (Cart in connection with Ronald McDonald Houses of Central Florida (RMHCF)). The Cart is a mobile cart which brings comfort and care to families/caregivers within Nemours Hospital who wait long hours/days without leaving their child's bedside. Items on the Cart include snacks, drinks, games, books, etc. - anything to make their stay a little more comforting. The Cart served approximately 4675 Snack Packs, 4600 Activity Packs and 500 Hygiene Kits during 2025. During 2025, JBMF also prepared and served one dinner at the RMHCF under their "Share-a-meal" service - a total of 40 meals for families/caregivers staying at the RMHCF. RMHCF provides a home away from home for families with children receiving treatment at hospitals and medical facilities in Orlando. Lunch and dinner are provided to the families on a volunteer basis and JBMF is proud to help make and serve meals to the families.
  3. Youth Sports $850 - To honor Jason's commitment to youth sports and coaching at Delaney Park Little League, JBMF has continued our sponsorship of a Little League baseball or softball team at Delaney Park Little League each season from 2014-2025. During 2025 we contributed $850 to sponsor a Little League baseball team and had a JBMF banner at the baseball park.
