Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (1)
  1. $502,725 spent. Take Paws facilitates the foster, rehabilitation, and adoption of animals. The organization works with a vast network of animal shelters across Louisiana, Texas and the Gulf South region that have little or no capacity or funding and offers to take animals that would otherwise be put to death. Take Paws also provides emergency services during weather events and disasters across the state. In 2020 we purchased a facility where we care for over 20 animals at any given time. The organization also has an established foster family network of over 200 families who assist in fostering while the rescue performs due diligence on potential adopters, oversees any necessary medical treatment, and secures a forever home for each animal. This year, Take Paws was responsible for the adoption of more than 1500 animals, bringing the total to over 8,000 since its inception in January of 2015.
