Financial health

We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (3)
  1. $21,720 spent. Trap-Neuter-Return or TNR of feral cats humanely controls their population and improves their health while eliminating nuisance behaviors. The cats, their caretakers and communities benefit from TNR. FCS TNR'd 504 cats for 148 caretakers in 2025.
  2. $21,053 spent. Colony Management and Rehoming is provided as follows. FCS manage a local feral cat colony and maintains an indoor sanctuary for cats removed from that group due to conditions endangering their well-being. Caretakers with cats needing rehoming are assisted with relocation in the form of trapping and loan of acclimation equipment. When possible, tame cats and kittens encountered in TNR projects where they endanger their colony by drawing attention to it are rehomed by adoption as indoor pets. 3 cats were taken into sanctuary in 2025. 19 cats/kittens were rehomed with help from FCS in 2025.
  3. $3,113 spent. Trap-Care-Return or TCR consists of trapping and obtaining medical treatment for sick or injured feral cats. Rehabilitated cats are returned to their outdoor homes. 11 cats were provided with TCR in 2025.
