Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (1)
  1. $418,483 spent. Currently, HopeAustin provides weekend meal kits containing 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches, 2 dinners, 2 snacks as well as vital shelf stable protein drinks to ensure proper nutrition and calories. In addition, we operate food pantries at several middle/high schools. Food pantries provide for autonomy of choice which is something many of our students do not experience on a regular basis. Our meal programs ensure that local students are food secure, increasing the opportunity to meet physical and cognitive milestones, while also removing the number one barrier to a quality education... hunger. Further, our programs are proving to increase attendance among the student population we serve.
