Programs described in its return (3)
- $606,451 spent. (Code:812910) ADOPTION LOUNGE AND FOSTER NETWORK: In 2025, rescued, fostered, and adopted approximately 450+ cats and kittens via our cat adoption lounge and our foster volunteer network. Provided funding and logistic support for spay/neuter, other vet care, and medicine where needed. Provided 62 small group workshops and events where cat lovers could meet, mingle and learn. These workshops and events included Community Cat Care, as well as art and fiber crafts, yoga with cats, and music and magic performances. The adoption lounge was open for 6 hour days, 3 days a week until September 2 when a car crashed into the adoption lounge. As a result, the lounge facility was unusable well into 2026. The foster volunteer network maintained its rescue, foster, and adoption processes to compensate for reduced services in local shelters.
- $13,508 spent. (Code:812910) COMMUNITY CAT RESCUE: Accounting support for the management of a small feral colony in the mid-Peninsula area.
- $104,798 spent. (Code:812910) COMMUNITY CAT SUPPORT: When able, responded to ad hoc needs to prevent cats from becoming homeless, e.g. providing food or medicine, or paid for veterinary care so that owners could keep cats instead of turning them over to a shelter. To compensate for reduced services in local shelters, maintained the number of spay/neuter procedures provided for stray cats and kittens found by the public or identified in local feral colonies. Involved approximately 750 requests for help for approximately 2000 cats and kittens.
