Programs described in its return (4)
  1. $110,203 spent. The Kupuna Support Navigator Program is dedicated to helping our Kupuna live safely, comfortably, and with dignity in their own homes as they age. Through personalized guidance and coordinated support, the program connects Kupuna with essential medical care, nutritious food access, personal care services, and reliable transportation. By also linking Kupuna an their families to valuable community resources, we reduce barriers and eased daily challenges empowering them to maintain independence while staying rooted in the places and traditions they cherish
  2. $30,000 spent. The Atherton Foundation Grant provided critical support to expand our Food Security Program and strengthen our Invasive Species Program. Through the funding we were able to improve access to nutritious locally sourced food for our community, while also advancing efforts to protect our environment by managing and reducing invasive species. These initiatives work hand in hand to sustain both the health of our people and the vitality of our time ensuring a more resilient future for generations to come.
  3. $7,000 spent. Rita Dance Academy - We strive to create meaningful cultural experiences that immerse our Polynesian children in the richness of their heritage through dance, language, and music. By fostering an environment where traditional movement, storytelling, and sound come alive we help them build a strong sense of identity, pride, and connection to their roots. Through learning and participation, they not only preserve the values and customs of their ancestors, but also carry them forward with confidence, ensuring that our culture continues to thrive for generations to come.
  4. $119,467 spent. Additional funding has been instrumental in strengthening our community wide efforts, supporting initiatives that provide food security, cultural connection, and long term resilience. These resources have helped expand access to fresh, healthy food, sustain our Ho'olaulea celebration that bring people together, and develop our resilience hub as a center for preparedness and support. Funding has also enhanced our community gardening efforts empowering families to grow their own food, while ensuring that essential operational expenses are met so these programs can continue to serve and uplift our community effectively.
