- LCA Annual Meeting. ACLCA hosts an annual meeting each year bringing together professionals from government, non-profits, academia and industry to learn about the latest research and work in life cycle assessment (LCA). Students also attend the meeting and there are activities and education opportunities specifically developed for their interests. The meeting includes pre-conference workshops, sessions and presentations of work by experts in the field. The meeting brings together all the stakeholders in the LCA community and focuses on the application of this work.ACLCA Membership provides organizations, individuals and students with a community to share their work, build capacity, access educational resources and stay up to date on the latest in LCA. - Environmental LCA of Design online event: The annual Environmental Life Cycle Assessment focuses on the most recent developments in Policy, Education, and Communications as they play out at the intersection and execution of Life Cycle Assessment and Design. Join us during this three-day online spring event. Interact with a growing international community of practitioners, working together to design and develop commercially viable interventions to improve the environmental profile of the industrial economy one product, one building, one infrastructure component at a time.
- LCA Institute: LCA has traditionally been developed and applied to individual technologies with a focus on results normalized to each functional unit. In a world of climate targets and sweeping technological shifts, however, there is a need to assess environmental impacts at a larger scale looking at aggregate and cumulative emissions across technology fleets.
- LCACP exam - certification: The LCACP Certification is a technical professional credential achieved by demonstrated experience and advanced knowledge in the field of LCA and a commitment to the ACLCA Code of Ethics. The LCACP is reserved for professionals with a combination of educational qualifications, years of direct work experience, and publication of critically reviewed ISO-conformant LCA studies.
