This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

The number of attendees was 320. They also held classes in the fall and spring for school students at a minimum fee to introduce them to the art of watercolor and art in general. The number of student attending was 40 and the number of class days was 20. In addition, free classes were provided throughout the year for senior citizens to also encourage them to learn watercolor and the benefits of art in their lives. All of these activities were provided in an effort to meet the goal of education and encouragement to the members and general public.
  2. $22,920 spent. Dixie Watercolor Society operated Gallery 35, which is a local gallery provided for the benefit of the members of the organization. It is a co-op gallery that is exclusive to the members and they pay a nominal fee to display their art. It is open to the public and the members' art is for sale with a low commission of 25% to the gallery. This commission helps them to operate the gallery and pay the required rent. The gallery is open every week, for a total of 288 days. The number of visitors is recorded at 7300 for the year. This gallery helps accomplish our goal of supporting and advancing the watercolor skills of our members and provides them a unique opportunity to share the knowledge they obtained in the workshops and classes. It has also provided an opportunity to reach out to the general public about the benefits of joining and learning art and the benefits to their life.
