Financial health

We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Programs described in its return (3)
  1. $23,150 spent. LTP began work on a "Curating the Mayr Collection: Artifacts and Records of Archaeological Sites," supported by a grant from the Maryland Historical Trust. This funding supports research archaeologists who are curating a highly significant archaeological collection that was recently donated to the Anne Arundel County Public Archaeology Lab.
  2. $4,712 spent. LTPs mainstay of its program is the engagement of citizens volunteers and students in the historical and archaeological inquiry at suites across the Mid Atlantic Region. Consultants oversaw volunteers and academic interns working on a multitude of research projects this past year including the laboratory processing analysis and curation of several significant archaeological collections; 137 volunteers have contributed 1,881 hours of their time to the project in the past fiscal year. This year 5 student interns received stipends to support their work alongside professionals as they earned college credit while learning valuable technical skills working on unique research projects.
  3. $4,415 spent. LTP continued an initiative focused on Native American History and Archaeology by hosting a series of public workshops with representatives from Marylands Piscataway Conoy Tribe. These collaborative workshops raised awareness about indigenous cultures historic and present and the impacts of climate change on indigenous archaeological sites in the region.
