Financial health

We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (1)
  1. $72,834 spent. THIS YEAR WE TOOK IN 62 ANIMALS. IN 2024 KENOSHA FORGOTTEN FRIENDS CONTINUED TO HELP WITH THE SPECIAL NEEDS OF ANIMALS THAT HAVE LARGE VETERINARY BILLS. WE TOOK IN SEVERAL CASES THIS YEAR THAT INCLUDED BROKEN LEGS, HIP REPLACEMENTS, AUTOIMMUNE DISEASE, AND CONGENITAL DEFECTS. WE HAD 70 ADOPTIONS AND MANY MORE THROUGH OUR COURTESY POSTS. FOR OUR COURTESY POST ANIMALS, WE REQUIRE ADOPTION APPLICATIONS WHICH INCLUDE BACKGROUND CHECKS ON POTENTIAL ADOPTERS WHOM WE ALSO INTERVIEW FOR THE SURRENDERING OWNERS. WE OFFER THIS SERVICE FREE OF CHARGE TO HELP IN REHOMING THE ANIMAL TO A PROPER SAFE PLACE. WE HAVE ALSO EXPANDED OUR MEALSFORPAWS PROGRAM WHICH HELPS PET PARENTS IN NEED. MONTHLY DELIVERIES ARE MADE TO SUPPLY FOOD TO THEIR DOORSTEP. WE HAVE ALSO EXPANDED INTO HELPING SOME WITH THE VETERINARY NEEDS OF THEIR CURRENT ANIMALS TO ALLOW PEOPLE TO KEEP THEIR OWN PETS AND NOT BE SURRENDERED. WE ARE STRICTLY VOLUNTEER, SO NO ONE HAS A SALARY AND MANY FOSTERS AND VOLUNTEERS DONATE NOT ONLY THEIR TIME BUT SUPPLIES.
