$42,100 spent. OUR FACILITY FUNCTIONS AS BOTH A FOOD BANK AND A FOOD PANTRY. WE RESCUE FOOD THAT WOULD OTHERWISE BE DISCARDED AND DISTRIBUTE IT WHERE IT IS NEEDED. WE HAVE AGREEMENTS WITH GROCERY CHAINS AND WHOLESALE FOOD DISTRIBUTERS TO PICK UP THEIR SURPLUS ON FIXED SCHEDULES. THE DAILY OPERATION CONSISTS OF SOURCING AND GATHERING FOOD, SORTING AND CATOLOGING THE FOOD, THEN WAREHOUSING THE INVENTORY TO BE DISTRIBUTED TO OUR PARTNER AGENCIES THROUGHOUT SOUTH FLORIDA. A FEW TIME EACH WEEK WE DISTRIBUTE FOOD FROM THE WAREHOUSE TO LOCAL PEOPLE IN NEED. WE SUPPLY OTHER PANTRIES, CHURCHES AND SOUP KITCHENS AS AN AS NEEDED BASIS.
