Financial health

We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Programs described in its return (1)
  1. $110,543 spent. In 2024, RICAGV continued to advocate for common sense gun violence prevention efforts with a focus on passing safe storage and assault weapons ban legislation. Through the organization's efforts and in collaboration with coalition partners, the safe storage bill was passed into law. Critical partners included National Education Association Rhode Island, RI AFL-CIO, Giffords Law Center, Everytown for Gun Safety, Moms Demand Action, the Nonviolence Institute, RI Kids Count, and RI Coalition Against Domestic Violence. During this year, we also participated in the RI Values Project, endorsing legislative candidates to advance gun safety. Efforts included mailers and digital communications.
