- $42,944 spent. This corporation is organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes, more specifically to provide humane shelter, care, and treatment for all animals in the Northern Neck. The area of Lancaster County and surrounding counties generally comprise the Northern Neck.2024 was a significant year for the organization. The Board engaged a construction company and the building of the shelter began. Significant work was done to ensure all regulatory requirements were met or exceeded, and that we are an asset to the community. We continued to learn shelter best practices and develop vendor and shelter partner relationships to ensure success with the impending completion and opening. Fundraising continued to support not only the completion of construction in early 2025, but to fund operations once the shelter was completed.
