Financial health

We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (1)
  1. $22,000 spent. We have made significant efforts to enhance the community health and safety in the City of Brunswick. In collaboration with Emory University's Rollins School of Public Health, a community-engaged research project was initiated to examine the potential health impacts of toxic exposure from industrial sites, with particular focus on the Honeywell-LCP Superfund Site. This research highlights the broader consequences of environmental damage on the community's well-being. Additionally, a partnership with the Institute for Water and Health (IWH) at Georgia Southern University has led to the establishment of The Safe Water Ambassador Group (SWAG). This community team is dedicated to collecting and communicating vital water quality data, serving fishing areas, and exemplifying effective community-academic partnerships to promote public health. Lastly, Rebuild Glynn County CDC has been selected as the first community in Georgia to receive the prestigious ETIPP Deep Dive Award from the U.S. Department of Energy, which provides up to $50,000 in funding and up to two years of expert technical assistance to enhance local energy resilience. With this support, Rebuild Glynn County will launch the S.T.A.N.D. Initiative, focusing on solar panel installations, distribution of resilience kits, and community training to empower residents, reduce energy costs, and improve emergency preparedness. The initiative is a collaborative effort involving national and regional partners, such as the National Renewable Energy Laboratory and Groundswell, as well as local organizations, and aims to achieve a 25% reduction in energy outages and a 15% decrease in energy costs, especially benefiting vulnerable and low-income families in Brunswick.
