Programs described in its return (2)
- $37,083 spent. CLIMATE CHANGE THEATRE ACTION (CCTA) IS A BIENNIAL GLOBAL DISTRIBUTED FESTIVAL OF SHORT PLAYS ABOUT THE CLIMATE CRISIS. WHILE WE TYPICALLY COMMISSION FIFTY PLAYWRIGHTS FROM AROUND THE WORLD TO WRITE SHORT PLAYS THAT ENGAGE WITH CLIMATE ISSUES, IN 2025, WE COMMISSIONED 10 NEW PLAYS AND USED 40 FROM OUR PREVIOUS COLLECTIONS. THESE PLAYS WERE THEN AVAILABLE FREE OF CHARGE TO ANYONE INTERESTED IN ORGANIZING AN EVENT IN THEIR COMMUNITY DURING A 13-WEEK WINDOW IN THE FALL. WE ALSO PUBLISHED AN ANTHOLOGY INCLUDING THE 10 NEW PLAYS.
- $12,828 spent. CLIMATE CHANGE THEATRE ACTION FRINGE (CCTA FRINGE) IS AN OFFSHOOT OF CCTA. ORGANIZERS PRESENT EVENTS OUTSIDE OF THE OFFICIAL FESTIVAL SEASON, USING PLAYS FROM PREVIOUS FESTIVALS, AND PAY ROYALTIES TO THE PLAYWRIGHTS.
