Financial health

We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (8)
  1. $19,312 spent. Special School Projects and Teacher Classroom Grants provide additional materials and resources for approximately 100 school staff members to use to enhance and extend the education of the approximately 1300 students who attend HIJH.
  2. $5,177 spent. Teacher Appreciation meals, events, and treats to boost morale of our staff throughout the school year. This serves approximately 100 teachers and staff members monthly with a small token of parent and student appreciation for the work they do.
  3. $2,533 spent. 8th Grade Graduation Celebration and T-shirts are a gift given to each 8th grader before they move on to their high school career. The shirts are provided for approximately 300 students and are worn for a composite picture of the entire graduating class. The celebration is held at the end of the school year as a reward day for the accomplishments of the 8th graders and provides a chance for them to say goodbye to their time at HIJH.
  4. $1,200 spent. Extra-curricular subsidy for junior high track coaching position
  5. $3,249 spent. School-wide Author visit for approximately 1300 students where students can interact with a published author for inspiration and gain ways to strengthen their own writing.
  6. $757 spent. Support given to the Hamilton Southeastern Education Foundation, which serves our entire school district's students and teachers, in the form of a donation as well as a silent auction basket for their annual fundraiser.
  7. $80 spent. Organizational additions to our storage room to provide space to store supplies and materials for our annual fundraising events.
  8. $200 spent. 8-pack of Stanchions purchased for the school to use for crowd control at any school or PTO events.
