Financial health

We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (4)
  1. $35,352 spent. Grants are directed to recipients, primarily children, who are considered "extreme poor" according to the United Nations. Other program grants include Saala Community Outreach where we minister weekly to 80-100 village children through a meal, games, bible teaching, and Slum Outreach where we weekly visit the Kampala slums to serve homeless slum boys through a meal, counseling, and bible study. We made grant for 2 salaries, the Programs Director and Accountant, and office expenses to support the organization. Lastly, we made a grant for the construction of a large toilet facility in Saala Community to support outreaches, a church, and future school (2027).
  2. $11,588 spent. Empower Ability- Rural villages in Uganda consider children with disabilities to be cursed or the result of witchcraft. A team of 4 staff including a physical therapist and 3 assistants travel to remote villages to educate the community on the value of these lives, provide help to parents on how to physically care for their children, and in some instances take critically ill children to hospitals for emergency treatment.
  3. $15,450 spent. Hope Empowers Academy- The school serves approximately 150 children considered "extreme poor" as defined by the United Nations. These children would most likely be otherwise unschooled. Our fees are ultralow cost so that our community's children can dream for a better tomorrow. We fund only a portion of total school expenses.
  4. $17,428 spent. Terri's Home Food and Necessities- Terri's Rescue Home serves 8 boys rescued from the Kampala Slums. We have 3 caretakers to oversee the home. We provide food, medical care, and education to the boys. For under six dollars a day, we provide every necessity for them to thrive in a new life they never dreamed possible.
