Financial health

We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (1)
  1. $21,021 spent. THE FOUNDATION WAS DEVELOPED TO DELIVER PUBLIC SPACES INCLUDING PARKS TO THE NEIGHBORHOOD. THIS WAS DONE IN COLLABORATION WITH VARIOUS STAKEHOLDERS INCLUDING RESIDENTS, PROPERTY OWNERS AND DISTRICT GOVERNMENT AGENCIES. IT PURSUED IMPLEMENTATION OF THOSE PLANS THROUGH A VARIETY OF STRATEGIES. SUCH STRATEGIES INCLUDED: SEEKING DISTRICT GOVERNMENT ADOPTION OF PLANS AND POLICIES, PERSUADING PRIVATE PROPERTY OWNERS TO ESTABLISH PRIVATELY-OWNED PUBLIC SPACES, SUCH AS THE NOMA MEANDER; THROUGH IMPROVEMENTS TO PUBLIC PROPERTY, SUCH AS THE UNDERPASS ART PARKS; AND THROUGH PURCHASE OF PRIVATE PROPERTY WHICH WAS THEN TRANSFERRED TO DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA AND UPON WHICH NEW NEIGHBORHOOD PARKS WERE CONSTRUCTED. PRIVATE PROPERTY WAS PURCHASED AND IMPROVED FOR USE AS PUBLIC PARKS USING DISTRICT GRANT FUNDS AND COMMITMENTS OF FUNDS THROUGH THE DEVELOPMENT ENTITLEMENT PROCESS FROM PRIVATE PROPERTY OWNERS SEEKING APPROVAL FOR PROJECTS IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD. NOW, THE FOUNDATION EXISTS TO SUPPORT THE BID'S WORK TO ACTIVATE AND MAINTAIN NOMA'S PARKS.
