Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (3)
  1. $42,047 spent. Sword to Plowshare Programming: Sword to Plow Programming: RAWtools moved our Guns to Gardens work from our Vine and Fig programming section to the Sword to Plowshare programming. This was done after feedback from volunteers and program participants. Outward facing very little changed, this is reflected especially in our reporting. Sword to plowshare programming has always included our work of transforming guns into garden tools and Guns to Gardens Events highlight different points in that process.
  2. $5,000 spent. War No More Programming: This focused entirely on a shared internship program with another organization and was funded by a grant.
  3. $3,642 spent. Vine and Fig Programming: Our work here focuses on community influences that encourage or discourage gun violence. Our programming here addresses factors that may increase gun violence, by providing programs and services to alleviate these factors. Expenses here reflect our fiscal sponsorship of an organization working to provide mental health services to communities adversely affected by gun violence, especially around the intersection of food insecurity and marginalized identities. Expenses noted here were the remainder of funds to be dispersed to the fiscally sponsred organization from a grant the previous year which extended into February of 2025.
