- $2.1 million spent. Healthy Waltham distributes nutritious and culturally appropriate food to residents of Waltham, MA and surrounding communities. During fiscal year 2025, we served approximately 3,500 unique households, representing nearly 11,000 family members. Over the course of the year, the pantry also recorded approximately 11,000 client visits, with repeat guests counted each time services were received. We provided families with nearly one million pounds of food, valued at approximately $1.7 million dollars. Food was distributed at 24 pantries each year (twice a month) and through local aid groups & Partners. In addition, we served over 100 people per pantry with mobility concerns through our drive thru service. We also served over 100 families a month through our newly adopted delivery program, which began in May 2025.Healthy Waltham also provides physical activity programs for the community: Zumba in the Park is a Healthy Waltham program that runs throughout the summer. It is regularly attended by 50-100 attendants per session, and sessions are run once a week for 8-12 weeks between May and August. Healthy Waltham aims to change the narrative around hunger. We believe that access to healthy, nutritious food is a basic human right. Our mission goes beyond food distribution; we strive to create compassionate, community-centered solutions, set foundationally in holistic care, that empower individuals and families while reducing the stigma often associated with seeking support.
