Financial health
We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Governance
This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence
Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.
Programs described in its return (3)
- $41,637 spent. Completed reconstruction of two historic barns on a heritage farmstead owned by the town of Mars Hill bringing to a total of 5 barns on the property. The ABA provides informative signs for all 5 barns explaining the history and use of these barns. This public space serves several 100 visitors each month which should increase as the farmstead is further promoted through literature local events and word-of-mouth.
- $2,262 spent. Host all the Countys 4th-grade classes at the Smith Farm giving them a tour of the historic barns and explaining the importance of historic Appalachian culture in the local area. A total of 8 classes including about 200 students and staff visit the farmstead every year.
- $200 spent. Hosted photographic workshops by leading artists and photographers to area barns allowing them to photograph barns otherwise closed to public viewing. About 20 photographers were served over two separate weekends.
