THIS FISCAL YEAR WE RESCUED 121 SENIOR DOGS.WE FOUND PERMANENT HOMES FOR 85 (THIS INCLUDES DOGS ALREADY IN OUR RESCUE AT THE BEGINNING OF THE CURRENT FISCAL YEAR).30 DOGS WERE DEEMED HOSPICE AND 27 HAVE SINCE PASSED AWAY.IN ADDITION WE ARE TAKING CARE OF 6 HOSPICE DOGS THAT ARE STILL WITH US FROM THE PREVIOUS FISCAL YEAR.WE HAVE HELPED 38 OWNERS KEEP THEIR PETS BY FUNDING MEDICAL CARE.18 LONG TERM DOGS FROM THIS YEAR AND THE PRIOR FISCAL YEAR ARE STILL SEARCHING FOR A FOREVER HOME.WE CONTINUE TO TAKE IN THE WORST OF THE WORST IN TERMS OF PHYSICAL HEALTH. THESE ARE DOGS THAT WOULD BE EUTHANIZED BY THE SHELTER IF WE COULD NOT TAKE THEM. AS A RESULT OF THESE RESCUES, OUR COST FOR PROVIDING MEDICAL CARE CONTINUES TO RISE FOR EACH DOG.
