What it says it does

SFS Missions exists to improve health and education for families in need while fostering the spirit of service amongst surfers and fishermen. Our goal is to meet the basic needs of families in Central America through programs focused on health and education by influencing the surfers and fishermen who visit these communities to serve during their trips abroad. We believe that through improved health and education, we can positively affect the quality of life for current residents as well as future generations.

Financial health

We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (1)
  1. $38,121 spent. In 2025, SFS Missions continued to financially support a few organizations and missionaries who are on the ground in Nicaragua year-round offering humanitarian aid and hope to those in need through English lessons, feeding programs, extracurricular activities, and healthcare. We are also continuing to sponsor the post graduate education of two young ladies and onboarded two more young adults for the purpose of higher education. Special projects in 2025 included a well project, and financial support of a new organization involved in local building projects. We had one teams visit rural Nicaragua on surf, fish, serve mission trips. They worked alongside our partners and showed love and encouragement to the local population.
