- $568,349 spent. WARM COOKIES OF THE REVOLUTION IS THE WORLD'S FIRST CIVIC HEALTH CLUB. SINCE 2012, WE HAVE ENGAGED MORE THAN 1 MILLION PARTICIPANTS THROUGH WILDLY INNOVATIVE PROGRAMS THAT ACTUALLY GET REAL PEOPLE TO ENGAGE IN DEMOCRACY AND CIVIC LIFE. OUR MOTTO IS VOTE EVERY DAY. WE FOCUS ON THE 364 DAYS OF THE YEAR THAT ARE NOT ELECTION DAY. ---------- MORE DETAIL ON SCHEDULE O ------------
- PEOPLE ARE BUSY. AFTER A DAY OF WORK AND TAKING CARE OF OUR FAMILIES, THERE IS A REASON WHY NETFLIX, THE NFL, AND SHOPPING ARE WHERE MOST PEOPLE SPEND THEIR TIME AND MONEY. INSTEAD OF SHAMING PEOPLE FOR NOT BEING MORE INVOLVED, WE MAKE CIVIC LIFE AS IRRESISTIBLE AND JOYOUS AS POSSIBLE. WE KNOW THAT CIVICALLY ENGAGED PEOPLE VOTE, VOLUNTEER, AND LIVE HEALTHIER LIVES. WE HAVE PRODUCED HUNDREDS OF PROGRAMS OVER THE PAST 13 YEARS, SPANNING THE INTERESTS OF LOWRIDERS, LEGOS, SPORTS, KNITTING, HOUSE/BALL CULTURE, FASHION, AND SPIRITUALITY. WE HOST EVENTS IN SCHOOLS, MUSEUMS, LIBRARIES, COMMUNITY CENTERS, CEMETERIES, SPORTS BARS, AND IN PARTNERSHIP WITH LOCAL BUSINESSES. WE HAVE COLLABORATED ON PROJECTS WITH MAYORS IN SMALL TOWNS, WITH IMMIGRANTS AND REFUGEES IN THE SUBURBS, AND WE SUCCESSFULLY IMPLEMENTED PARTICIPATORY BUDGETING WITH THE CITY OF DENVER USING ART INSTALLATIONS, RUBE GOLDBERG MACHINES, MAGIC, POETRY, AND GOOD OLD FASHIONED FACE TO FACE CONVERSATIONS. WE REMIND PEOPLE THAT THEY OWN THE STREETS, THE PARKS, THE SIDEWALKS, JAILS, AND SO ON. WE ALL COLLECTIVELY OWN MORE THAN WE THINK, AND WE HOLD TREMENDOUS CIVIC POWER. WE BRING PEOPLE TOGETHER FOR CIVIC PURPOSE-PEOPLE WHO WOULD MOST LIKELY NOT FIND THEMSELVES IN THE SAME COMPANY, UNLESS THEY WERE AT A PRO SPORTS EVENT OR A BIG TICKET POP CONCERT. EVERYTHING WE DO IS ARTIST AND RESIDENT RUN, AND WE SPECIFICALLY ENGAGE THOSE WHO ARE THE LEAST LIKELY TO ENGAGE IN CIVIC LIFE.
