Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (3)
  1. $11,880 spent. Create WV team members helped install a network of PurpleAir sensors to monitor air quality measurements in Kanawha County, also known as "Chemical Valley." Our partner, WV Citizen's Action Group has scaled this pilot project to install air quality sensors around the state based on our program funded by the Center for International Environmental Law and matching by WV Rivers. Our team continues to support WVCAG install more sensors around the state, focusing on research and innovation fueled by this network of sensors.
  2. In response to the West Virginia University Budget Crisis of 2023, Create WV produced a report, "Visioning for a Future WVU: A Preliminary Report on Community-driven Transformation." The report is compiled of feedback gathered from in-person and virtual forums and an open question survey to better to inform decisions.
  3. $99,456 spent. Create WV in the last couple years has been focused primarily on the Westside Connect program contracted by the McGee Foundation to benefit the newly organized Westside Together Foundation and West Side Charleston community.
