Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (3)
  1. $261,050 spent. Care and treatment by veterinarians and professional animal behaviorists for medically fragile, behavioral and other special needs dogs rescued by our organization. We rescue approximately 100-150 dogs per year, and about 90% of them require extensive medical treatment and/or training. This includes approx. 15-20 dogs in our lifetime care program who require lifelong medications, medical care and maintenance.
  2. $5,382 spent. Administrative costs for internet hosting, phones, mailings, website support and maintenance, and office supplies.
  3. $2,691 spent. Supplies that we provide for rescued dogs when they go to their foster and/or adoption home to ensure they have basic supplies needed for their transition -- leash/collar/harness/tag, bed, blanket, toy, food dishes, food, treats, flea treatment. Average cost of supplies per dog is $60 (not including medical care costs.) This also includes costs for dogs in our Forever Foster program, who are not adoptable due to medical or behavior. BRB provides lifelong care -- food, grooming, supplies -- at approx. $1000 per month for 20-25 dogs in the program.
