Each foster cat or kitten receives spay or neuter rabies vaccination, FVRCP vaccinations, parasite testing and treatment and basic health testing prior to adoptions. This is our largest expense category. The rescue purchases food for the cats and kittens in foster homes. We also provide specialty care for pets in our care including but not limited to orthopedic surgery, dental care wound care, soft tissue surgery and eye surgery. In FY 2024 we cared for 1362 cats and kittens.
- $97,211 spent. Provide trap neuter return services for local citizens to assist in reducing cat overpopulation. Volunteer efforts to trap, transport cats to local veterinary clinics for spay neuter and vaccinations. We were able to assist our volunteers in trap-neuter-return 1,520 cats and kittens. Volunteers to mentor citizens and assist with trapping, transporting cats to local clinics, caring for the cats after surgery and returning them to their homes. These efforts help to reduce the overpopulation of stray and feral cats in our targeted areas and provides assistance to citizens who care for the cats in their neighborhoods.

This includes transport of the cats ( and sometimes their owners) to our partner veterinary clinics for routine and/or urgent care for pets. We also purchase basic cat supplies (food and litter) that the citizen might not be able to afford on limited income. We currently have 51 citizens who receive food and litter from us and another 20 who we were able to assist with medical veterinary expenses like wound care, dental care, urinary blockage, heart failure x-rays and unfortunately in some cases humane euthanasia for the pet with a veterinarian.
