What it says it does

TO ENSURE DIGNITY FOR THOSE INTERRED AT HAR HASETIM AND THEIR FAMILIES WHILE HONORING THE HISTORICAL, CULTURAL AND NATURAL SIGNIFICANCE OF THE SITE. WE WORK TOGETHER WITH VOLUNTEERS AND WITH THE SUPPORT OF COMMUNITY PARTNERS PRIMARILY THROUGH RESTORATION AND MAINTENANCE OF THE GRAVES AND NATURAL FEATURES, SHARING THE STORY OF THE CEMETERY AND PROVIDING ACCESS TO INFORMATION ABOUT THOSE INTERRED AT THE SITE.

Financial health

We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (2)
  1. $46,282 spent. JOE FERRANNINI, OF GRAVE STONE MATTERS, CONTINUED WITH HIS EXCEPTIONAL EFFORTS, COMPLETING TWO ADDITIONAL SECTIONS OF GRAVES. AN AREA WITHIN THE CEMETERY THAT APPROXIMATES A FINISHED CONDITION SO THAT VISITORS AND POTENTIAL DONORS CAN SEE WHAT IS POSSIBLE THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE CEMETERY HAS EXPANDED DUE TO JOE'S EFFORTS. A RETAINING WALL WAS BUILT BELOW ONE OF THE LARGER SECTIONS THAT JOE FINISHED IN ORDER TO PROTECT HIS WORK AND STABILIZE THE SLOPE ON WHICH THE GRAVES SIT. NUMEROUS INVASIVE AND DEAD TREES WERE REMOVED AND USED TO CREATE PATHS IN THE CEMETERY. A CORPORATE DAY OF SERVICE WAS USED TO CREATE WATER BARS TO PREVENT EROSION IN THE CEMETERY TRAILS. A DISPLAY KIOSK WAS DONATED BY A MEMBER AND WAS INSTALLED BY JOE AND ADAM BUCHANAN AT THE ENTRANCE TO THE CEMETERY.
  2. $12,066 spent. CONTINUED PROGRESS WAS MADE AT THE CEMETERY IN 2025. NUMEROUS VOLUNTEER GROUPS HELPED STABILIZE THE TRAILS AND THE AREAS AMONG THE GRAVES AND TO WOODCHIP THE TRAILS TO PREVENT EROSION. GREG JEHANIAN FINISHED HIS VOLUNTEER EFFORT TO SUPPLY AND CARVE A GRANITE MONUMENT AS A MEMORIAL FOR LOST SOULS FOR THOSE INTERRED AT HAR HASETIM WITHOUT A LOCATABLE GRAVE. INSTALLATION OCCURRED IN EARLY 2025, WITH A DEDICATION AND NEWS MEDIA IN ATTENDANCE. HEADSTONE TRANSLATION EFFORTS PROGRESSED. WE EXPECT TO CREATE A PHOTOGRAPHIC DATABASE FOR ALL THE GRAVES, STARTING WITH THOSE THAT JOE FERRANNINI HAS COMPLETED.
