- $20,133 spent. THE ORGANIZATION CONTINUES TO CURATE NEW PROGRAMS WHICH WILL FULFILL THEIR THREE-FOLD MISSION: FIRST, EQUIP YOUNG PEOPLE WITH PRACTICAL SKILLS TO SUPPORT THEMSELVES AND THEIR FAMILIES AS THEY TRANSITION INTO ADULTHOOD; SECOND, FOSTER THE PASSING ON OF KNOWLEDGE, CHARACTER, AND VALUES THROUGH RELATIONSHIPS; AND THIRD, TO SHARE THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST IN ALL THAT WE DO.
- IN 2025, CATALYST MINISTRIES, INC. MADE SIGNIFICANT STRIDES IN UPGRADING ITS FACILITIES AND EXPANDING ITS COMMUNITY PRESENCE. THE MAJORITY OF THE YEARS ACCOMPLISHMENTS WERE DRIVEN BY A ROBUST CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULE UTILIZING BOTH TEEN AND ADULT VOLUNTEERS. THE YEAR BEGAN WITH CRITICAL STRUCTURAL UPDATES TO THE BUILDING. VOLUNTEERS PLANNED AND INSTALLED HEAVY STEEL SUPPORTS AND BEAMS TO SECURE THE SECOND FLOOR, ALONGSIDE REROUTING THE MAIN ELECTRICAL WIRING IN THE BASEMENT AND UPSTAIRS SHOP. AFTER NAVIGATING A STOP-WORK ORDER FROM APRIL THROUGH JUNE WHILE WAITING FOR UPDATED PLANS, THE TEAM RENEWED THEIR PERMITS AND RESUMED PROGRESS IN JULY. THROUGHOUT THE LATE SUMMER AND FALL, RENOVATIONS TRANSFORMED THE MECHANICAL AND WOOD SHOPS. THE VOLUNTEER CREW REMOVED OLD FLOORING AND DUCTWORK, FRAMED A NEW FIREWALL AND SOFFITS, AND INSTALLED A NEW GARAGE FIRE DOOR BETWEEN THE SHOPS. BY THE FALL, THE BUILDING HAD NEW WINDOWS, INSULATION, AND SHEETROCK. DOUG LAMB CONSTRUCTION STEPPED IN TO POUR CONCRETE, AND THE YEARS CONSTRUCTION EFFORTS WRAPPED UP IN NOVEMBER AND DECEMBER WITH THE INSTALLATION OF NEW OAK FLOORING, DRYWALL MUDDING, AND HVAC DUCTWORK. TO TOP OFF THE EXTERIOR IMPROVEMENTS, A NEWLY FABRICATED SIGN WAS DONATED FOR THE FRONT OF THE BUILDING. BEYOND THE PHYSICAL RENOVATIONS, CATALYST MINISTRIES DEEPENED ITS IMPACT IN THE COMMUNITY. A MAJOR PROGRAM MILESTONE WAS THE LAUNCH OF THE MOMMY & ME GROUP. OVER THE SUMMER, VOLUNTEERS PREPPED, PAINTED, AND FURNISHED A DEDICATED ROOM, ALLOWING THE PROGRAM TO OFFICIALLY BEGIN IN SEPTEMBER. THE MINISTRY ALSO MAINTAINED STRONG COMMUNITY TIES THROUGH ONGOING PROMOTIONAL MEETINGS AND INVOLVEMENT. CATALYST CONTINUED TO HOST JEWEL DAVID COUNSELING, WHICH CURRENTLY RENTS THE UPSTAIRS SPACE , AND CAPPED OFF THE YEAR BY PARTICIPATING IN THE LOCAL ETOWN 2ND FRIDAY UGLY SWEATER SCAVENGER HUNT IN DECEMBER, FOSTERING A GREAT CONNECTION WITH THE LOCAL COMMUNITY.
