Financial health

We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (4)
  1. Conferences: We held a conference in Toronto, Canada in partnership with OCAD University. They donated the space and designed the programming. It was called the Futures of Creativity and Compassion. Costs were covered entirely through conference attendance fees.
  2. Magazine: We produced six issues of COMPASS magazine that highlights our members' work. Five were regular issues and a sixth special edition was produced to promote the Dubai Future Forum as part of our partnership with the Dubai Future Foundation.
  3. Emerging Fellows: This program has become a full fledged part of the APF after several years of rebuilding. It is a two-year fellowing ship in which promising early-career professionals receive specialized training and mentorship. Six early-career foresight practitioners from around the world were chosen in 2025 and six others are still active.
  4. Awards: We restructured our awards so that instead of a variety of awards given throughout the year, they are all grouped together now and will resume in 2025. This will also help us to gain sponsors to offset costs of the awards.
