Financial health

Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (1)
  1. $9,779 spent. The efforts to restore the Laugh O Gram Studio in Kansas City represent more than just a fascination with Walt Disney and his incredible life. They represent our opportunity to preserve a part of history that would have otherwise disappeared and will ultimately serve as a catalyst to link education and hope with our youth, enabling them to become true leaders in the community. The goal is to complete a historic rehabilitation of the building and to develop programming in the areas of animation, digital storytelling and media. The building, Walt Disneys first cartoon studio, is an important part of Disney and Kansas City history. 2024 Activity consisted of preparing our $2,000,000 Federal Grant for disbursements and certification by HUD, for renovation of the Laugh-O-Gram Studio Building in Kansas City Missouri. This was accomplished and disbursements commenced in 2025. During 2024 the architects completed the 95% set of prints, readying them for construction prints, which were completed in 2025. The board and executive committee met regularly to continue fundraising and construction planning. Further facade work on the Laugh O Gram Studio was completed and funding resources toured the work in progress. Fundraising efforts included donations to the Missouri Development Finance Board, a state entity that has awarded Thank You Walt Disney, Inc. $500,000 in 50% tax credits. Donors make a contribution directly to our fund at the MDFB, and we are given the funds to make renovations to the Studio Building.
