Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (1)
  1. $141,513 spent. Some of the major accomplishments of Schrage Christian Mission (SCM) recently included sponsoring the care of 73 orphans in Kenya, as well as educating those orphans. Also, SCM helped transition the Kenya Church of Christ Children's Home to the Kenya Church of Christ Rescue Center. This involved funding the physical move of the entity, the rental of temporary facilities, and the eventual purchase of new property to get reestablished in Kenya. SCM also helped with the training of pastors from northern Uganda through the Messiah Theological Training Institute in Mbale, Uganda. Finally, SCM helped in the maintenance of a Christian mission in Nimule, Sudan, and the establishment of 61 congregations in southern Sudan by that mission. This all in addition to SCM offering support of the president of Good News Productions Intentional both financially and spiritually to enable him to lead the organization of GNPI which has 120 staff in 17 countries. This ministry of GNPI is involved in the production of culturally relevant, evangelistic, and disciple-making media productions around the world.
