What it says it does

Our mission is "Partnering together to bring transformation in everyday life." This plays out as The Beacon hosts it's own programming as well as partners with and provides space for other non-profits to deliver programs out of our space, which is an old 50,000 square foot bowling alley converted into a community center.

Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (4)
  1. $135,032 spent. Providing shared space for over 14 non-for-proffits in St. Joseph County
  2. Jubilee Ventures (JV) is our "department" that extends opportunity, restoration, and ownership to the margins. This year JV utilized the network we developed from our previous two job fairs for "returning citizens" (the way we describe men and women coming out of incarceration) to aid them in finding meaningful employment and connections. We've also continued programming to enter the DuComb Center (a local re-entry center) and have a full year of that programming now
  3. $14,895 spent. Capital Upgrades to See Building Improvements to empower the long-term effectiveness and building usefulness
  4. Remaining Miscellaneous events and programs and income and expenses from totals
