Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

  2. FORM 990-EZ, PART III, LINE 28, PROGRAM SERVICE ACCOMPLISHMENTS: Wildfire is proud to continue its partnership with the Town of Berthoud, providing arts and cultural programming to the local community. Town funding provides the essential operating income needed to employ our part-time Programs Director and part-time Administrative Director. Through diverse, high-quality, and affordable programming, Wildfire offered 31 classes and workshops this period, reaching a total of 5,547 students and event participants. We continue to serve everyone from children to seniors, providing expert instruction in both the performing and visual arts. This includes our longstanding adult ballet and tap classes, which have welcomed students for over a decade. We have also expanded our dance offerings to include country line dancing, preschool dance, and hula - proudly taught by a native-born Polynesian instructor. Our Programs Director continues to lead two weekly homeschool art classes, serving 18 local students ranging in age from 5 to 14. Additionally, we maintain three weekly after-school art clubs and have added a second section for 8-10-year-olds for the winter semester. Other visual arts courses, such as sewing, needle felting, and watercolor, remain popular across all age groups. Our music department recently introduced toddler and preschool music and movement classes, alongside the continued success of our multi-generational ukulele and hand drumming courses. Finally, we are pleased to announce that two new students are now attending art classes via scholarships, and we remain grateful for the ability to offer free programming art enthusiasts.
