What it says it does

INTERACT CENTER FOR THE VISUAL AND PERFORMING ARTS OFFERS PROFESSIONALLY RIGOROUS VISUAL AND PERFORMING ARTS PROGRAMS TO ADULTS WITH DISABILITIES. IN THE SPIRIT OF RADICAL INCLUSION, INTERACT IS A MULTI-CULTURAL ART CENTER THAT EMBRACES THE ENTIRE SPECTRUM OF DISABILITY TO TRANSFORM AND CHALLENGE NOTIONS OF ABILITY FOR BOTH ARTISTS AND AUDIENCES. SINCE 1995, INTERACT'S MISSION TO CREATE ART AND CHALLENGE SOCIETY'S VIEW OF DISABILITY HAS DRAMATICALLY BROADENED THE ARENA FOR ARTS PARTICIPATION FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES, OPENING THE FIELD TO CREATORS AND AUDIENCES WHO MIGHT NEVER HAVE SEEN THE ARTS AS A LIFE CHOICE, BUT WHO NOW SEE THE ARTS AS CENTRAL TO THEIR PERSONAL CAREER AND SOCIAL FULFILLMENT. INTERACT WAS THE FIRST - AND REMAINS THE ONLY - VISUAL AND PERFORMING ARTS ORGANIZATION, NATIONALLY OR INTERNATIONALLY, TO OFFER THE FULL-TIME, DAILY PRACTICE OF PROFESSIONAL LEVEL THEATER AND VISUAL ARTS TO SUPPORT THE CREATIVE GROWTH OF ARTISTS WITH DISABILITIES.
