Financial health

We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (3)
  1. $6,670 spent. After recording the music for two CD length recordings of British Brass Band music in early 2024, editing and production costs were incurred during this tax year. One recording (of Jack Stamp's brass band music)was released on the Toccata Classics label and the other released by LWBB. Both recordings will continue to be sold to support the organization and offered on streaming services. The number served is not known. A short term objective of these projects is to support the organization through sales of the recordings at concerts. A long term objective of these recordings is to promote and share brass band music with a wider audience.
  2. $5,509 spent. The fall concert series involved two Concerts in Anoka and Mahtomedi, Minnesota. This concert series served an estimated 300 people who attended the concerts and enjoyed the British Brass Band music.
  3. $4,127 spent. The winter concert series served an estimated audience of 500 at three concerts. Three communities in Minnesota were served (Edina, Cambridge and Coon Rapids). These concerts furthered the long term objectives of exposing new audience members to British Brass Band music and providing an enjoyable cultural experience.
