Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (3)
  1. $12,335 spent. In 2024, the Nemeth hosted two gallery exhibitions showcasing work from four artists, each with their own unique connection to our community. Each show lasted around 1.5 months and was open to visitors from Thursday-Saturday each week. The gallery was open for visitors a total of 66 days in 2024 with an estimate of over 900 visitors during the season. As part of these exhibits, the Nemeth hosted two receptions/artist talks in 2024. These events involved an open house to view the current exhibitions on display and a 30 minute artist talk to hear from each of the artists with work on display and ask them questions.
  2. $3,728 spent. The Nemeth Art Center residency programs offer unique opportunities for visiting artists to interact with patrons and community members in ways such as open studios, artist talks, and collaborative projects. These interactions not only allow artists to share their creative processes and ideas but also enable patrons and community members to gain insight into the artistic journey and develop deeper connections with the artists and their work. In 2024, the Nemeth hosted artists in residence focused on painting, sculpture, and other media.
  3. $666 spent. The Nemeth hosts art classes taught by local and regional artists throughout the summer months along with an annual Youth Art Show. These activities provide opportunities to engage with and support budding talent in our own community. These classes were hosted by established local/regional artists in a variety of media. The Youth Art Show ran for the month of May and exhibited work by dozens of local high school students in the gallery.
